A bit more experimentation with color and b&w. I’m not pretending this is a masterpiece and will hope that the photography police go easy on me for combining both HDR and spot coloring in one image.

Twice Weekly Photos: Monochromatic Waterfowl

I was just playing around with monochromatic editing some. The green tinting is the obvious tie-in with the monthly theme. The more subtle tie-in is that this photo was shifted into the original black and white by removing the red/blue channels leaving only the green channel behind.

A few weeks back I attended two events designed to be fundraisers to help a six-year-old girl, Emily Whitehead, fight leukemia. The first was lighting up a local park with luminary candles. The second was a candle lit vigil along Cold Stream Dam. Here are a selection of photos from these two events, originally published at GANT Daily.
