Hello, and welcome again to another “Twice Weekly Photos”.
This is just a collage of something that should look very familiar. The return of The Egg, or more correctly the beginning of it. These are individual shots taken of an egg as part of a study of how light falls across its surface.

Hm, maybe I should have made this the first Twice Weekly Photo.
Just an old ornament that hangs on a house for sale near here. Well, was on sale. I am writing these first couple in advance, and said house is in the closing deals.
I just like this photo because of the small little details that show that this welcome ornament has been hanging on the door for quite some time. Yet not so long as the paint has faded.

Hello and welcome to another “Twice Weekly Photos”.
Basically a failed experiment on the grounds of being out of focus in printable resolutions. Still a neat photo that I plan on reshooting in the future.

I was at a family reunion when I saw this little sigh. Obviously
it has seen better days. There is a fragment of a “for sale”
sign so old that the orange has faded to white. The only work this
sign is seeing is to keep people from driving over that storm grating
there in the middle of a field.
What added to the moment was the night before there was something
going on in the news show I was watching about whether “men working” signs should be banned in favor
of “people working”.
So while that debate wages on I decided to take a shot of what may
or may not be history eventually.

I am not entirely sure what this thing is other than it looks neat, and was near an old knob and tube light switch. There are a few things I can think of using this photo for.

Not much to say about this one. Just a bunch of pretty flowers for you all.

Hello again.
Expanding upon what I was saying Wednesday, here is another scene photo from back in May. It was just too bright of a day at the time, despite having recently rained, that the background on the left is washed out.
This photo is currently slated as unfinished, but has potential. Right now I am torn between trying to use the technique used in Wednesday’s photo, though with actual effort, in an attempt to unwash the white area or just to wash it out completely.

Welcome to the first “Twice Weekly Photos”!
This first photo is a partially failed experiment. Taken out near the Janesville Dam the sky was too bright even with the cloud cover to properly expose for the clouds and landscape. So this photo was an experiment to try out using the same raw file to provide a dramatic photo closer to reality, and slightly darker.
If you look at the tops of the trees you will see some darkness. Look closely at the trees that are more completely lit and you’ll see a black line where I didn’t quite edit well enough for this quick study.

I’ve been trying to think of something to keep this news page busy for those of you who read it. There are things to keep me too busy to frequently experiment or work on adding new galleries
So tomorrow I will launch “Twice Weekly Photos”, or TWP, where there will be a new photo up. Some of these will be experiments, others future gallery additions and some that I like, but don’t feel it is quite good enough to be in a gallery.
It is planned for TWP to be up Wednesdays and Sundays.
